Coffeehouse Community Guidelines
Last Updated: March 11, 2026
Welcome to the Coffeehouse. We are building a space for deep connection, creativity, and creator-led communities. To keep the “vibe” right and protect our members, everyone must follow these rules. Violation of these guidelines may lead to content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning without a refund of Virtual Items.
1. Safety and Individual Wellbeing
- Harassment & Bullying: We have zero tolerance for targeted harassment, stalking, or “brigading” (organizing a group to attack an individual).
- Hate Speech: Do not post content that promotes violence, incites hatred, or demeans individuals based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.
- Self-Harm: We prohibit content that encourages or provides instructions for self-harm or eating disorders.
- Minor Safety: Coffeehouse is 17+. Content that sexualizes or exploits minors will be reported to the authorities (e.g., NCMEC/Europol) immediately.
2. Intellectual Property & Authenticity
- Copyright: Only post content you own or have the right to use. We respond to DMCA and EU Copyright Directive takedown notices.
- Impersonation: Don’t pretend to be someone else. Creators must verify their identity to use monetization tools.
- Misinformation: Do not use Coffeehouse to spread provably false information that could cause real-world harm (e.g., medical misinformation or interference with civic processes).
3. Sensitive & Regulated Content
- Illegal Acts: Do not use the platform to coordinate illegal activities, sell regulated goods (drugs, weapons), or promote human trafficking.
- Nudity & Sexual Content: Coffeehouse is not a platform for “adult-only” (NSFW) content. While we respect artistic expression, explicit sexual acts or non-consensual sexual content are strictly prohibited.
- Creator Responsibility: Creators are the “Baristas” of their own channels. Creators are responsible for moderating their private token-gated channels. If a Creator allows illegal content to persist in their private channel, the Creator’s account will be terminated.
4. Economic Integrity (The “Token” Rules)
Because Coffeehouse has an internal gamified economy, we have strict rules to prevent fraud:
- No “Pump and Dump”: You may not coordinate with others to artificially inflate the price of a Creator Token via the bonding curve.
- No Financial Advice: Do not promote Tokens as “investments,” “sure wins,” or “financial products.” Tokens are for access and support only.
- No Gambling: You may not use Coins or Tokens to organize or promote illegal gambling or raffles.
- Wash Trading: Buying and selling your own tokens between multiple accounts to create “fake volume” is a permanent ban offense.
5. Spam and Technical Integrity
- Spam: Do not use bots to send mass messages or create artificial engagement.
- Scams: Any attempt to trick users into sharing their password or sending Coins under false pretenses will result in an immediate IP ban.
- Exploits: If you find a bug in the bonding curve or payment system, report it to hello@coffeehouse.world. Exploiting bugs for profit is theft.
6. Enforcement & Appeals (DSA Compliance)
Under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA):
- Reporting: Use the “Report” button on any post or profile to flag violations.
- Our Decision: We use a mix of AI and human moderation. If we take action against your account, we will notify you and explain why.
- Appeals: If you believe we made a mistake, you have 6 months to appeal. Instructions for appeals are provided in the notification of the enforcement action.
7. Reporting & Law Enforcement
- How to Report: Users can report content directly via the in-app “Report” button or by emailing hello@coffeehouse.world.
- Processing Time: We aim to review all reports involving illegal content or minor safety within 24 hours.
- Law Enforcement: Government and law enforcement agencies should contact us only at hello@coffeehouse.world.
- Trusted Flaggers: Reports from designated “Trusted Flaggers” (as defined by the DSA) are prioritized for immediate review.
- Vexatious Reporting: Users who repeatedly submit unfounded reports may have their reporting privileges suspended.
